  • No-Cost-Marketing is (Internet) Social Networking

Posted on November 17th, 2008 admin No comments

There are traditional ways of doing marketing for a business and these are through print, radio, and TV. But with the advent of internet, there are now more ways to promote a product and reach more customers. Features such as websites were the first means of marketing through the internet. But having a website seemed to be very expensive especially for starting businesses. And so, cheaper alternatives have risen because of this marketing challenge.

Business owners and starters now have two better internet marketing options – a blog or an account at a social networking site. Blogs can come with a price or for free. But usually, they are still way cheaper than a website. In it, one can customize the things posted in it. There are those personal blogs that sell the products or service of the blogger. But this internet marketing option did not gain as much popularity as the second one, primarily because it stands alone and lacks the exposure called social networking.

Social networking sites have mushroomed the internet due to their huge popularity. Its concept is basically putting people from any parts of the world in one network where they are free to socialize with one another. All social networking sites begin with creating an account and then presto – a webpage for each member absolutely for no charge. The members in a social networking site can view each others account or webpage. And hence, if one puts his product on his own webpage, then others can view it and the power of the word-of-mouth marketing begins to take place. It is an internet marketing effort that has a global reach and for no cost at all – totally great for business starters.
