Posted on July 15th, 2009 admin 1 comment

The health benefits of fish oil supplements have already been tried, tested and proven by many laboratory works. The good effects of taking fish oil supplements can never be undoubtedly questioned because they are well supported by medical research results done by health experts. Yet, the other side of the fish oil supplements story has never been given much attention and rather little is know about the negative effects of taking this so-called “miracle supplements”.

So are there really any health risks in the daily intake of fish oil pills? For all we know, everything that exists in this world has its own positive and negative effects. Thus, the answer for that question is “Yes.”. But don’t start panicking about these well-loved nutritional supplements, for even if they have negative effects these effects are very rare, very mild and happens on a case to case basis.

The negative effects of daily intake of fish oil pills are accounted for the quality of the pill itself and for the health status of the user. Similarly when a person eats a low quality food, it may have a negative consequence onto him in a short while. Also, when a person eats a food that contains elements that may trigger allergies, it is not recommended for him to eat such. That is the same case with fish oil pills, if it is a low quality pill or a person is allergic to it, daily intake of it may cause negative effects on his body. So far, those are the only the negative effects of fish oil pills that have been reported. So before deciding on taking one pill, all that has to be done is to check if it is from a well-known brand or seek advice from medical experts if allergies are prevalent.
