Easy Business is Food Business
Posted on October 23rd, 2008 No commentsThere are a lot of businesses but the food business is no doubt the biggest. Because food is the number one need of humans. And it is also a business that is not complicated to put up for it only takes three things – target market, type of food and price.
The first and most important consideration is the target market. For starters, focus on targeting one market first. Select the target market and know what this market wants. Understand and detail out the things that your target customer wants. This would bring in the necessary knowledge needed to answer the next question – what type of food? The type of food depends on the selected target market. Moreover, this second consideration prepares you on planning the materials and processes to be needed for the food business. This helps in deciding what are the cheap substitutes for the raw materials. And of course, after figuring out the initial costs through the efficient budgeting, you can now set the price for the product. Don’t forget to recall the first two considerations and assess whether the price will be attractive or at the least acceptable to the target customer and if the price is just right for the type of food it belongs.
Besides those three considerations and since food is a growing business like others, there is what they call an additional or plus factor. The plus factor to consider for a food business nowadays is whether it is good for the health or not. The definition of healthy food varies and the usual are, is it natural and/or fat-free? Considering this additional factor gives the business a sense of innovation in it. As an example, turning an ordinary food to extraordinary by coming up with a sugar free variant of it.
